Beschreibung

South Siberian Tyvan models of world interpretation exemplify the flexibility and plurality of human interpretation and social behaviour. Anett C. Oelschlaegel demonstrates that local actors utilise models that are both complementary and contradictory. "below the. declamatory level, however, most Tyvans were undogmatic pragmaticians, who constantly contradicted themselves or displayed a consistent inconsistency in their subjectively intended meaning." Professor emeritus Bernhard Streck, University of Leipzig
